Doctor Laura Sanchis Ruiz

She performed her cardiology residency at Hospital Clinic (Barcelona). Specialized on noninvasive cardiac imaging. PhD from the University of Barcelona. Currently, she works at Hospital Clinic Barcelona as staff cardiology doing non-inivasive cardiac imaging (echocardiography and advanced echocardiography techniques) and echo-guidance of structural interventions in the cath lab. She is part of the Valve Team of the hospital and have a dedicated outpatient clinic for complex heart valve disease. Her main research interests currently consist on the application of cardiac imaging to understand the pathophysiology of heart valve disease, its clinical management and the structural heart interventions planification. She is associate editor of Revista Española de Cardiología.
