Mrs Martha Biddle

Dr. Biddle is a tenured Associate Professor at the College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky. She teaches and advises students in the PhD program. Dr. Biddle’s research interest is secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, specifically with a focus on nutritional and biobehavioral interventions. She has developed expertise in testing dietary and self-management interventions for patients with multiple risk factors, as a way to reduce the incidence of secondary events and promote optimal health and improve quality of life in persons with ASCVD. She serves as a Co-director of the RICH Heart team and her role on the team as as PI or Co-Investigator has included project management, interventionist and protocol development for NIH, PCORI, and HRSA funded multicenter grants. Her academic and research work has been recognized with national awards from AHA, HFSA and PCNA.
