Dmytro Volkov was born in Ukraine on 05.08.1972. Almost all his life he’s living in Kharkiv. After graduating from Kharkiv Medical University in 1996 and working as general surgeon he had moved to Institute of Surgery of NAMSU in 2001 and dedicating his efforts to interventional arrhythmology. He got PhD degree and became chief of diagnostics department in 2004 with EP Lab (2013). In February 2021 he got DMedSc degree for dissertation “Routes of permanent cardiac pacing optimization”. Having numerous training in Ukraine and abroad including 3 months course in IKEM (Prague) he did near 3000 international procedures as a first operator (implantations and ablations). Dmytro Volkov was certified as level I-II EHRA Cardiac Device Specialist in 2013 and 2015. He is co-author of more than 100 articles in press, 12 Patents of Ukraine and one of USA. His scientific interests include heart failure diagnostics and interventional treatment, implantation techniques, ablation of arrhythmias.
