Professor Dmytro Volkov

Prof. Dmytro Volkov, MD, PhD, DMedSc is an internationally recognized cardiologist and electrophysiologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, having performed nearly 3,000 device implantations and ablations. He previously served as Head of EP Lab at the Institute of Surgery of NAMSU. He earned his PhD in 2004, a DMedSc in 2021, and became a Professor in 2022.Prof. Volkov is a certified EHRA Cardiac Device Specialist (re-certified in 2025). His international credentials include a fellowship at the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute (USA) and advanced training at IKEM (Czechia). As an active researcher, he has been a PI in three clinical trials, co-authored over 100 publications (incl. EHJ, JACC, MDPI), and holds 3 US patents. He is also the inventor of FlowCardioGraphy, a patented method for blood flow evaluation. Since 2024, he has been practicing at Neuron Medical in Brno, Czechia, completing his Czech medical approbation in 2026.
