Biography
Dr Maddalena Lettino is Director of the Cardio-thoracic and Vascular Department at San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation of Monza, Italy. Dr Lettino has been a lecturer/adjunct professor at the Universities of Milan and Pavia since 1997. She also obtained her Master in Health Economics at the London School of Economics in 2018. She has been President of the ESC Acute Cardiac Care Association, and Chair of the Cardiovascular Heart Health Institute of the ESC in Brussels. She has been involved in several guideline task forces and is currently member of the Advocacy Committee of the ESC. Finally, she is an editorial board member of the European ACVC Journal and of the European Heart Journal of CP. Dr Lettino’s clinical research work is concentrated on antithrombotic therapy of ACS, mechanisms of coronary atherothrombosis, secondary prevention in patients with CAD (both antithrombotic and lipid-lowering) and anticoagulation in thromboembolic disorders such as Atrial fibrillation
