I am a Consultant Cardiologist at the Bristol Heart Institute where I lead the Heart Failure Team and Specialist Hypertension Clinic. I split my time between clinical cardiology and leading the translational work of the University of Bristol Cardionomics Research Group targeting autonomic dysfunction in hypertension and heart failure. I am PI for a number of trials investigating modulation of carotid body activity, vagal nerve stimulation, renal denervation and deep brain stimulation in hypertension and heart failure.
