Dr. Amat-Santos was trained as Cardiologist in University Clinical Hospital of Valladolid (Spain) with an external stay at klinkum Grossadern in Munich (Germany) and has a degree in statistics applied to biosanitary research from the Autonoma University in Barcelona (Spain). He was trained as interventional Cardiologist in the Quebec Heart & Lung institute (Canada) and also as clinical researcher through the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (Madrid, Spain) with a competitive contract “Rio Hortega” obtaining within that period his PhD that received the first national prize.
Currently he is the Director of the interventional cardiology department at the University Clinic Hospital of Valladolid, one of the largest in Spain, and is Professor in Medicine in the University of Valladolid where he leads several active Reseach lines.
