Dr. Jaw-Wen Chen is the director of Healthcare and Services Center in Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and the distinguished professor of medicine in Institute of Pharmacology in National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan. He has been a research fellow in vascular medicine/biology in Stanford Medical Center in USA (1997~1998). He also serves as a cardiologist major in hypertension, interventional cardiology, and atherosclerosis diseases. His research work focus on atherogenesis, vascular progenitor cells/angiogenesis, genetic and biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases, and the development of new drugs. He has reviewed the national projects for Australia, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Poland, & Taiwan; and reviewed papers for 60 SCI journals. He served as editor-in-chief of Acta Cardiologica Sinica (SCI) (2012~2015), and is still the editorial board of 5 international SCI journals. He is the fellow of AHA & ESC. Till 2020, he holds 7 patents and published 320 papers in SCI journals.
