Working in Careggi University Hospital of Florence (AOUC), Referral Center for Cardiomyopathies (CMP), since 1990, main skills in Dilated CMP, Heart Failure (HF) and Heart Transplantation; additional skills in Restrictive CMP (Task Force of the AOUC for amyloidosis and Fabry disease). 1987-1997: member of the Italian Study on CMP of the Italian Nat. Council of Research. Fellow of the Italian Cardiologists Ass. (ANMCO) and member of the HF Working Group in the years 2005-6, participating in the Italian Consensus Conference on HF. Former member of the following task forces: Italian Health Ministry National Guidelines on HF, Tuscany Region Health Dept. Guidelines on HF, Tuscany Transplant Organization - Cardiovascular Risk. Author of about 100 papers, reviews, book chapters and more than 100 congress communications. Lecturer in HF/CMP for the Schools of Medicine and of Cardiology Univ. Florence.
