Dr Myat is an interventional cardiologist on the GMC specialist register (ID 4735678). He is a co-founder and lead editor of the Challenging Concepts series of medical and surgical textbooks published by Oxford University Press. He was also Lead Editor for the Interventional Cardiology Training Manual published by SpringerNature in 2018 in addition to two other cardiovascular textbooks published by Oxford University Press. He has published original research, editorials and narrative reviews in the Lancet, the BMJ, and other high impact specialist cardiovascular intervention journals. I am a regular peer reviewer for the Lancet, BMJ, Circulation and journals affiliated to the EHJ. He has been an Associate Editor for Heart (BMJ Journals) and an Editor for BMJ Best Practice. Dr Myat is now working for a global contract research organisation as a Medical Director in Cardiology. He is based in the City of London.
