Biography
Marc Dewey is the Professor of Radiology at the University of Cambridge and the first Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) Professor in Cambridge since 2026. Marc was the first radiologist to be appointed Heisenberg Professor of the German Research Foundation (DFG) at Charité in Berlin in 2012.
Marc's main research interest is noninvasive cardiovascular and cardiothoracic imaging. Since 2014, Marc is the CI of the European Commission-funded DISCHARGE trial and since 2026 is the CI of the INCHARGE trial funded by the DFG, BHF, and DZHK Since 2017, Marc coordinates the interdisciplinary Quantitative Cardiothoracic Imaging (QCI) Study group and since 2023 leads the global medical imaging data sharing platform GUIDE-IT.
