Dr. Miguel Silva Vieira is a Consultant Cardiologist and lead of the Cardiac Imaging at Hospital Pedro Hispano - ULSM (Porto, Portugal). He is an adult cardiology specialist with a subspecialisation in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging with vast experience in all aspects of cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, both in paediatric and adult disease. He is an SCMR-level III accredited cardiovascular physician with extensive experience in under and postgraduate teaching and his current research field is developing integrated computer modelling frameworks for subject-specific cardiovascular simulations. He has recently been awarded a PhD in Cardiac Imaging at King's College London (UK), where he was medical researcher for the in the Division of Imaging Sciences & Biomedical Engineering, using novel image-based computation techniques for cardiovascular simulation in pediatric patients with congenital heart disease.
