He has been working with heart failure and cardiomyopathies. Acute and chronic heart failure as well as specific management of cardiac amyloidosis and restrictive cardiomyopathy. He is head of the cardiac intensive care unit of Hospital Unimed in Ribeirão Preto and is the coordinator of the CAPED research centre. He is also an associate post-graduation professor of University of São Paulo.
