Professor Patrick Ching-Ho Hsieh

Dr. Patrick C.H. Hsieh, MD, PhD, FAHA, is Distinguished Research Fellow and Chief of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. A trained cardiovascular surgeon and biomedical engineer, he holds joint appointments at National Taiwan University, Kaohsiung Medical University, and the University of Washington. Dr. Hsieh leads national programs on iPSC biobanking and regenerative medicine, including the Taiwan iPSC Consortium and the Precision Regenerative Medicine Project. He is Founder and President of the Taiwan Circulation Research Society and President-Elect of ISHR-SEA. His research spans cardiac regeneration, stem cell therapy, microbiota–heart interactions, and nanomedicine. He has published over 115 papers in Nature Medicine, Science Translational Medicine, Circulation, JCI, Sci Adv and holds 40+ patents. He has received multiple national awards and collaborates with global biotech and pharma to translate discoveries.
