Doctor Jose Moreu Burgos

Dr. Moreu was born and studied the degree of medicine in Granada, later he specialized in cardiology at the Puerta de Hierro University (Madrid), obtaining the degree of doctor of medicine cum laude at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Since 1996 he works as head of the laboratory of Interventional cardiology of the Toledo University Hospital, a unit he created in 1997. It was one of the first hospitals to perform coronary intervention without on-site cardiac surgery in Spain. He actively participated in the implementation of the primary angioplasty program in the Castilla la Mancha community. At present, more than 900 annual angioplasties are performed in our laboratory, including almost 300 primary angioplasties, more than 40 percutaneous aortic prostheses are implanted and all types of structural intervention are performed. During these 25 years we have participated in multiple randomized multicentric studies.
