Maria Selvadurai is a Basic Physician Trainee at Alfred Health, Melbourne, Australia. She will be commencing Cardiology Advanced Training in 2025. She completed her MD-PhD at Monash University in 2020, with her PhD thesis investigating the cellular effects of class II PI3Ks in platelets, and the biological implications of targeting these pharmacologically as a novel anti-thrombotic strategy. More recently she has been involved in research in diagnosing heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, under the supervision of Dr Shane Nanayakkara and Dr Misha Dagan. Maria speaks French and has previously studied at the Etablissement Francais du Sang (Alsace), Strasbourg, France, in the group of Prof Christian Gachet.
