Biography
Professor Karsten, PT, PhD, is engaged in activities of research and teaching in cardiovascular health and exercise physiology fields. He is a professor of Undergraduate and Graduate Physiotherapy courses at Santa Catarina State University (Brazil).
He was the Scientific Director of the Brazilian Association of Cardiopulmonary and Critical Care Physiotherapy (ASSOBRAFIR), between 2017 and 2020. His main areas of interest are Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, Exercise Tests (lab and field), Frailty and Sarcopenia, Cardio-Oncology, and Sleep Disorders in Cardiac Patients.
