Graduated in Biochemistry at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). During her degree, she did a 3-month internship (Feb 2021) at the Research Institute Hospital 12 de Octubre (i+12). Then, she studied the Master in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the University of Barcelona (UB). She completed a 1-year internship (Jul 2022) in the Evolutionary Biology Institute (IBE) at the Evolutionary Genomics lab. She worked with the UKBB genetic and phenotypic data to enhance the prediction of comorbidities by means of Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS). She learned high performance computing (HPC) techniques, as well as genetic tools (bcftools, Plink, pleioFDR) and different programming languages (Python, R, Bash, PHP). She is currently working at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute (IMIM) working as a bioinformatics technician in cardiovascular prevention.
