Doctor Maria Mirabela Manea

Dr. Maria Mirabela Manea MD,PhD, FEBN, is Lecturer of Neurology at the Clinical Neuroscience Department of the Medicine and Pharmacy University “ Carol Davila” in Bucharest. As a senior neurologist she is currently coordinating the Stroke Department of the National Institute of Neurology and Neurovascular Diseases in Bucharest. Dr. Manea's academic prowess is supported by a PhD, reflecting her deep-seated passion for neurocardiology and stroke research. She has been actively involved in most of the ESO’s scientific activities (ESO annual conference, Summer school, Department to Department visit). Her commitment to fostering learning was recognized internationally in 2019 when she was named a Fellow of the European Board of Neurology in Oslo. As a staunch advocate for stroke awareness, dr. Manea champions this cause as a speaker for the Angels Initiative in Romania, where she works tirelessly to educate the public about stroke prevention and treatment.
