Dr. Slivnick is a multimodality cardiac imager at the University of Chicago with expertise in echocardiography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance, and computed tomography. His research is focused on applications of echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, namely cardiac amyloidosis. His particular interest is in cardiac amyloidosis where he has worked to improve the CMR and echocardiographic detection and differentiation of cardiac amyloidosis and its subtypes including with the use of artificial intelligence. In addition to his research, Dr. Slivnick is involved in caring for patients as part of the multidisciplinary hypertrophic cardiomyopathy team at the University of Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys running, cycling, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and three children.
