Giorgia Senesi is a PhD student at Istituto Cardiocentro Ticino, in Bellinzona (Switzerland).
In her master’s degree in experimental and applied biology (biomedical biomolecular curriculum) in Pavia (Italy) she have acquired a solid laboratory practice in biomedical research. The traineeship at the Laboratory of Biomedical Neurosciences (LBN) in Switzerland allowed her to get to know the role of Extracellular Vesicles, the pivotal study for her master thesis project. At present she's working as a PhD student at Istituto Cardiocentro Ticino in Bellinzona since April of 2022. She currently working on a project aiming to understand the role of miR-24 as a cargo of cardiomyocytes derived-EVs in the regulation of human cardiac fibroblast activity in healthy and pathological (as myocardial infarction) condition.
She loves her work, an act of discovering knowledge in the area of research, as well as playing the piano and traveling.
