Doctor Nikola Srnic

Nikola is an final-year MD student at the University of Alberta in Canada. He completed his DPhil in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Oxford and is interested in how alterations in human metabolism drive the development of cardiometabolic disease. His current research uses a combination of techniques including stable-isotope tracers, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, molecular biology, and bioinformatics to investigate how dietary fat composition in humans influences systemic, hepatic, and cardiac metabolism and function.
