Shubh is a third-year student majoring in Honours Biomedical Sciences at the University of Calgary. Shubh will be starting medical school at the University of Toronto in August 2023, marking the next step in his journey towards a career as a clinician-scientist. Shubh has held multiple positions at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute, working on diverse projects aimed at improving patient care and prevention strategies. Shubh's significant contributions to cardiovascular and diabetes research have been recognized with five studentships and numerous awards. Shubh has a first-author manuscript published in the Canadian Journal of Cardiology and presented abstracts at various conferences at local, national, and international levels. Shubh has also authored two chapters in a Translational Cardiothoracic Surgery textbook. With a clear vision of becoming a clinician-scientist, Shubh is determined to ease the burden of chronic diseases.
