Simon studied at the medical school of Aarhus University 2011 - 2017. He was promptly employed at the Department of Nuclear Medicine & PET Centre at Aarhus University Hospital where he was in training until he became a phd-student in 2020. Since graduation his research areas has been centered around myocardial perfusion imaging. To this end, two imaging modalities takes up his work. 15O-H2O positron emission tomography and cardiac magnetic resonance. As such, his area of expertise is chronic coronary artery disease. During his phd his focus has been centered around two prospective patient cohorts. One aims to compare PET and CMR myocardial perfusion imaging while the other is focused on long term survival outcomes. Simon has established a family in Aarhus and has two children and a pregnant wife. He enjoys a good match of tennis whenever the weather allows for it.
