Mr Morsy is a Cardiovascular Immunology PhD student in the School of Infection and Immunity at the University of Glasgow. His major interest is the comprehensive assessment of the inflammatory and immunological aspects of cardiovascular disease including hypertension, stroke and heart failure. After obtaining his pharmacy degree from Pharos University in Egypt he moved to the UK to improve and learn new laboratory and data analysis techniques in pharmacology and immunology, with a specialized emphasis on cardiovascular disease. In addition, he is actively engaged in fostering stronger ties with Sub-Saharan African nations to tackle non-communicable diseases through collaborative scientific initiatives in partnership with institutions across Africa.
