Alda Jordão, MD, is a consultant of Internal Medicine and coordinator of the Medicine Day Hospital at North Lisbon University Hospital Center (CHULN), Hospital Pulido Valente in Lisbon, Portugal. Believing in the benefits of collaboration and integrated care, she has been working with several interdisciplinary teams, namely in out-patient diabetic clinics. More recently became a member of the Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center of the CHULN Cardiology Department and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. During and after her fellowship at Santa Maria University Hospital, she received training in diabetology and is committed to her education role and searching for prevention strategies and treatment options for diabetes. Editor-in-Chief of the Portuguese Journal of Diabetes, the scientific peer-reviewed journal of the Portuguese Society of Diabetology, since 2020.
