Doctor Gareth Thompson

Dr Gareth Thompson is a Research Fellow at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). Gareth completed his PhD in the area of secondary prevention of coronary artery disease. His research interests are the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, with the overarching aim of empowering people to establish and maintain cardioprotective lifestyles. Gareth is currently the chair of the Cardiac Research Group at QUB, which facilitates Patient and Public Involvement in cardiac research.
