As founding member of the Comprehensive Heart Failure Center (CHFC) Wuerzburg, I am heading the Dept. of Clinical Research & Epidemiology. I am responsible for the Outpatient Services, the Clinical Research Unit, and the heart transplantation program. My research focus is on clinical studies (trials, prospective cohort studies, surveys), epidemiology including implementation research and public awareness, non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, acute heart failure, and rare cardiac diseases.
