PRESENT SITUATION: • Head of the Pacing and Electrophysiology Department at Setúbal Hospital Center • Electrophysiologist at Luz Hospital, Lisbon Portugal. EDUCATION: • 1988: Medical Doctor at Lisbon Medical School. • 1996: Cardiology Specialist at St Cruz’s Hospital, Lisbon. • Certified by the Portuguese Society of Cardiology as Interventional Electrophysiologist (2005) • Currently a PHD candidate at Lisbon Nova Medical School SCIENTIFIC SOCIETIES • President of the Portuguese Association of Arrhythmology Pacing and Electrophysiology (APAPE), 2019-2021 RESEARCH • Main research interest: 1. Electrophysiology and ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, with special interest on idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias 2. Remote navigation systems. 3. Non-invasive mapping.
