I have been working as consultant interventional cardiologist at Ferrarotto Hospital from 2002 to 2018 and, then at Policlinico University Hospital in Catania. Since 2009 I have been also in charge for the management of the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Clinical Program at the Department of Cardiovascular Disease of Ferrarotto University Hospital. My clinical practice and research interest are focused on the treatment of complex coronary artery disease including coronary chronic total occlusion, the assessment of new coronary devices with optical coherence tomography, the percutaneous treatment of aortic valve stenosis (TAVI) and the application of stress CMR for the evaluation of myocardial ischemia.
