Igor Antonio Tolentino Narciso is a newly graduated physician with one year of experience. Initially a civil engineer and professor, a visit to a teaching hospital inspired him to pursue medicine for a more fulfilling career. Excelling academically, especially in his USMLE preparations, he distinguished himself among his peers. His exceptional performance during his clerkship earned him his first job at Emergency Care UPA Chiquinho Guimarães. Igor's passion for cardiology began when he treated a patient with acute myocardial infarction during his internship. This interest deepened during an angioplasty procedure, where he was fascinated by the technology and challenges of the cath lab. The COVID-19 pandemic provided an opportunity for scientific research, leading to a publication in JAMA on early treatment. He has since presented at international conferences and published in journals like Stroke. Igor aims to become a renowned cardiologist with significant research contributions.
