Biography
Associate Professor Sarah Zaman is an Academic Interventional Cardiologist at Westmead Hospital and the University of Sydney, Australia. A/Prof Zaman is a SCAI-ELM Fellow, a Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow, with more than 100 publications and $5 million in research grants. She leads a Health Equity Research Program at the University of Sydney, alongside research into preventative and interventional cardiology. Alongside other clinical trials, she leads the Australian-New Zealand spontaneous coronary artery dissection (ANZ-SCAD) registry. She sits on the Australian 'Acute Coronary Syndrome' guideline steering committee, the World Health Organisation’s [WHO] international working group on ‘Acute Coronary Syndrome and Stroke’, The Lancet's Commission on 'Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease' and is current co-Chair for the '5th Universal Definition of Myocardial Infarction'.
