Degree in Medicine and Surgery cum laude in 2000 at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome. Specialization in Cardiology with honors with Prof. Crea in 2004, under whose mentorship he also obtained his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Cardiology in 2008. Presently, He is Director of the of the Diagnostic, Interventional and Acute Cardiac Care Unit of Ospedale Isola Tiberina Gemelli Isola and Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. Experienced interventional cardiologist, focused on invasive functional assessment. He was the first to propose the use of a contrast medium as a vasodilator agent, performed the renowned FORZA trial with Prof. Burzotta and invented the #FullPhysiology approach with Prof. Campo and Porto. He has participated in >20 international studies as a local Principal Investigator, and is the author of over 250 publications with a H index of 42 (Scopus) and 48 (Scholar).
