Dr Signe Glargaard has been a PhD fellow at the Department of Cardiovascular Research at Bispebjerg Frederiksberg University Hospital, Copenhagen, since 2021. Since obtaining her medical degree in 2014, she has gained experience as a physician in internal medicine, anesthesiology, and cardiology. Dr Signe Glargaard's primary research area is heart failure and the pathophysiology and treatment of heart failure-related pleural effusion. She is the coordination investigator on the pragmatic, multicenter, randomised controlled TAP-IT trial investigating the effect of up-front therapeutic thoracentesis to alleviate pleural effusion in acute heart failure.
