Miss Isabel Cerro Pardo

She graduated in Biochemistry from Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in 2018, then took a MSc in Molecular Biomedicine at Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). In 2019, she joined Dr. José Luis Martín Ventura's Lab at Fundación Jiménez Díaz Research Institute (Madrid) to pursue a PhD in Molecular Biosciences. Likewise, part of her work has been developed in the B Cell Biology Lab with Dr. Almudena Ramiro at the Spanish National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC). Her thesis project focuses on understanding the role of polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (PIGR) in pathological vascular remodeling, specifically in Atherosclerosis and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. This research experience has provided her with a broad scientific background, project management skills, creative thinking abilities, and a capacity for learning and reasoning, both in English and Spanish. Persistent, dynamic, and committed, she actively seeks opportunities for growth and advancement.
