Istvan KOSA is the secretary general, president elect of the Hungarian Association of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation since 2022. He heads the Department of Cardiometabolic Rehabilitation at the Univ. Szeged, running exclusively a hybrid rehabilitation model since 2023, and the head of the Cardiac Rehab. Department of the Military Hospital, in Balatonfüred, working with the traditional "German type" 3-week inhospital rehabilitation model. He was earlier the president of the Council for Management, Health Economy, Health Informatics and Quality Management of the Hungarian Health Professional College. Based on these experiences he runs extensive cooperation with the Country office of WHO in Budapest, to promote the introduction of new healthcare financing models, like bundled financing for different types of cardiometabolic rehabilitation.
