Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio, Pisa (Italy)

Specialities : Cross-Modality and Multi-Modality Imaging Topics , Coronary Artery Disease Chronic, Myocardial Disease

As a Cardiologist and Nuclear Medicine specialist Dr. Neglia was involved for many years in clinical and translational research on coronary artery disease, dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure at CNR Institute of Clinical Physiology (IFC) and later at Fondazione Toscana G. Monasterio (FTGM) in Pisa. His clinical work is mainly dedicated to clinical cardiology and recently focused on the clinical use of Multimodality Cardiovascular Imaging as Head of Cardiovascular Imaging programs at FTGM. Since 2010 he has been elected in different positions within the ESC and participated to the development of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), beeing an active board member as Vice-President and Councillor and currently Co-Chairing the Research Committee. Dr. Neglia has coordinated and is still coordinating large European trials and registries focused on ischemic heart disease. He is teaching to PhD students of Translational Medicine at Scuola Sant'Anna in Pisa.
