Dr. Josip A. Borovac, MD, PhD, BSc is a research associate at the Department of Pathophysiology, University of Split School of Medicine and a resident physician at the Institute of Emergency Medicine of Split-Dalmatia County. He is also a heart failure clinical intern/investigator at the Clinic for Cardiovascular Diseases, University Hospital of Split, Split. Croatia. Of other professional activities, he is a member of the Croatian Cardiac Society Working group on Heart Failure and a national representative of Croatia in the Heart Failure Association's Heart Failure Specialists of Tomorrow (ESC HFA HoT) Committee. His areas of scientific and clinical interest include heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, coronary artery disease, novel cardiometabolic biomarkers, and advanced electrocardiography related to the ischemic disease. In addition, he currently serves on the Editorial boards of BMC Cardiovascular Disorders, Cardiac Failure Review (Radcliffe Cardiology), and Medicine (LWW).
