Dr. Nathalie Conrad is an experienced epidemiologist in the field of cardiovascular sciences. Originally trained as an engineer, Nathalie’s research focuses on using big data to address to important clinical and public health challenges.
Nathalie currently works as a Marie Curie fellow at Leuven University and has recently launched a research programme that uses large-scale biomedical data to shed new light on the role of inflammation in cardiovascular disease.
Nathalie has previously completed extensive research on the epidemiology of heart failure, investigating how sex and socio-economic differences impact disease incidence, care delivery and outcomes (Lancet 2018, PLOS Medicine 2019, JAMA Cardiology 2019).
Nathalie holds a PhD in medical sciences from Oxford University, an engineering Master’s degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and previous work experience as a data analytics consultant at IBM.
