Dr. Nathalie Conrad is an epidemiologist in the field of cardiovascular sciences. Originally trained as an engineer, Nathalie’s research focuses on using big data to address to clinical and public health challenges. Nathalie currently works as at Leuven University and uses large-scale biomedical data to study cardiovascular disease epidemiology, disease trajectories and risk factors. She previously completed research on the role of autoimmune diseases in cardiovascular risk, and the epidemiology of heart failure, investigating how sex and socio-economic differences impact disease incidence, care delivery and outcomes.
Nathalie holds a PhD in medical sciences from Oxford University, an engineering Master’s degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), and previous work experience as a data analytics consultant at IBM.
Nathalie has a honorary affiliation with the University of Glasgow and the University of Oxford.
