Doctor Shouvik Haldar

Dr Shouvik Haldar is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with a specialist interest in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders. He is based at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. He gained his medical degree from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Medical School, completed sub-specialty training at the Royal Brompton and Harefield and was then Haldar was then awarded the Mirium L Burnett Fellowship in Electrophysiology and Devices at the University of Toronto, Canada, where he furthered his training with world-renowned experts in the field. He was a Medical Doctorate research degree studying Atrial Fibrillation at Imperial College London, and was awarded a £1.4 million NIHR research grant to conduct a randomised control trial comparing different modalities of ablation. His research interests include arrhythmia mapping and atrial fibrillation. He is passionate about education and is currently Education Chair at the British Cardiovascular Society
