Dr Wang is director of the Shanghai Institute of Hypertension, director of the Department of Hypertension, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China. At present, he is coordinating several multicentre randomized clinical trials and population- and patient-cohort studies in China. He has published 587 full-length articles on hypertension in the international literature and 196 articles in the Chinese literature, and has lectured extensively in national and international conferences. He is president of the Asian-Pacific Society of Hypertension, past president of the Pulse of Asia Society, deputy president of the HOPE Asia Network, and president of the Chinese Hypertension League. He serves on the editorial board of journals, such as Hypertension Research (Associate Editor), JACC Asia (Section Editor), the Journal of Clinical Hypertension (Editor-in-Chief), Nature Review Cardiology (Member), Cambridge Prisms: Precision Medicine (Editor), etc.
