Doctor Vilius Savickas

Vilius is a clinical pharmacist with a specialist interest in Stroke and Cardiology. He currently works as the Lead Pharmacist for Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust, providing specialist clinical services, managing a team of pharmacy staff and leading the pharmacy service development within the Medicine division. Vilius has completed a PhD focusing on the opportunistic detection of atrial fibrillation and stroke prevention, and continues to pursue his research interests in this field. Prior to his current commitments, Vilius had completed a Master of Clinical Research at King's College London whilst delivering clinical pharmacy services at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He also worked as a Specialist Pharmacist for Education/Development and as a Clinical Lecturer at the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals/University of Brigthon, and was actively involved in the development of the MPharm course at Kingston University.
