Doctor Margarita Brida

Margarita Brida completed her specialisation in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and her doctoral postgraduate study at University Hospital Centre Zagreb. She underwent two-year Fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) at the University Hospital Muenster, Germany and Royal Brompton Hospital London, UK. She also graduated from Harvard, Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Rijeka and consultant cardiologist at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Dr Brida is a chairperson elect of the ESC Working Group on ACHD (2024-2026) and Associate Editor for ACHD in the European Heart Journal and Deputy Editor of International Journal of Cardiology Congenital Heart Disease. She has established and leads the ACHD Academy international project. Her current work is focused on further development of ACHD in South Eastern European region and her main fields of interest are echocardiography and heart failure in ACHD.
