Umang Gupta is a practicing pediatric cardiologist and a clinical professor of pediatrics in the division of cardiology at University of Iowa in the United States. He currently leads the pediatric cardiac imaging at the University as its medical director. He completed his medical training in India followed by residency in pediatrics in India and in New York followed by fellowship at Rush University in Chicago and additional cardiac MRI training at Boston Children's Hospital. His primary areas of interest and research are in advanced imaging and healthcare delivery. He is fluent in three languages including English, Hindi and Bengali and claims to know enough Spanish to be able to survive (~ Hungere, Comar, Agua)
