Doctor Roser Torra

She obtained a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1989, followed by a Doctorate in Medicine in 1997, where she was awarded the "Extraordinary Thesis Award." Her postdoctoral research focused on inherited kindey diseases. Currently, she serves as the Chief of Clinical Nephrology and Coordinator of Rare Kidney Diseases at the Puigvert Foundation, as well as a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Nephrology) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. As of July 2024, her Google Scholar metrics include h-index of 62. She has supervised over 15 doctoral theses on hereditary kidney diseases and served as an evaluator for various national and international agencies. Since May 2024, has held the position of President of the European Renal Association (ERA). She speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and French.
