D. Hansen is a Full Professor of Rehabilitation/Exercise Physiology in Cardiometabolic Diseases and Vice Dean of Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at Hasselt University. He is scientific coordinator at Heart Centre Hasselt, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, and chair of the Secondary Prevention and Rehabilitation Section of the EAPC. He (co-)authored >130 peer-reviewed papers, and is recipient of 6 (inter)national research awards.
