Dr Abdelsalam Ben Saaud, MB, BCh, BAO (Hons), MSc (Hons), FIPC, PhD in Public Health and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at the University of Galway and University Hospital Galway, Ireland. Dr Ben Saaud is the Ambassador of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC), and a Fellow of the National Institute for Prevention and Cardiovascular Health (NIPC). He holds a Master’s degree in Preventive Cardiology with first-class honours. Dr Ben Saaud was awarded a prestigious Gold Medal from CROÍ, the West of Ireland Cardiac Foundation for his outstanding academic achievement. He is a Shortlisted Candidate for the EAPC 2024 Elections, Winner of the NIPC Educational Bursary 2019, Winner of the NUIG Early Stage Researcher Grant 2018, and Winner of the other Scholarship Awards for Academic Excellence. Dr Ben Saaud is an Editor of the European Heart Journal, a Member of the Cochrane Heart Group -UK, and a Nucleus Member of the NUIG Alumni Working Group on Preventive Cardiology.
