Professor Christian Sticherling

Prof. Sticherling acts as deputy head of the department of cardiology at the University Hospital in Basel. He also heads the divison of cardiac electrophysiology. He received his internal medicine and cardiology training at the University Hospitals in Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin (Germany). Furthermore, he completed his electrophsiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor (USA) with Prof. Fred Morady. His clinical expertise is in ablation therapy, device therapy as well as in interventional cardiology. The scientific focus is on risk stratification for the prevention of sudden cardiac death and clinical and interventional aspects of atrial fibrillation. He is an active member of EHRA.
