Nuno Cardim is a clinical cardiologist with specific interest in inherited cardiovascular diseases (particularly cardiomyopathies, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, athletes heart, sudden cardiac death in sports) and in multimodality imaging (particularly echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance). He is a Professor of Cardiology at Nova Medical School in Lisbon and he is currently the Editor -in- Chief of the Portuguese Journal of Cardiology (Revista Portuguesa de Cardiologia). He is a member of the ESC WG of myocardial and pericardial diseases, of the EACVI (he was a Board member during 10 years) and of the EAPC. He has published 150 peer review scientific papers and he was the national coordinator of the Portuguese Register of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
