Mrs Justien Cornelis

She graduated her masters degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy in Internal Diseases at the University of Ghent, Be in 2012. In 2017, she obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences on 'the ups and downs in ventilation during exercise: investigating exercise oscillatory ventilation' at the University of Antwerp and the Antwerp University Hospital. Her professional interests include, especially, studying the clinical value of cardiopulmonary exercise testing and rehabilitation in patients diagnosed with cardiopulmonary diseases. She is fellow and a selected member of the Exercise and Training Committee of the European Heart Failure Association (HFA). In 2018, she started working as expert for the Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE), an independent research centre that provides scientific advice on topics related to health care. The topics are generally asked for by public authorities (Minister, NIHDI), universities, professional associations, etc.
