Krzysztof Smarz, MD, PhD, FESC Born in 1969 in Lublin, Poland. Graduated from the Medical University of Lublin in 1994 Current employment: Associate Professor, practicing cardiologist, Department of Cardiology, Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education, Warsaw, Poland. Postgraduate education: internal medicine 2001, cardiology 2005, Ph.D. 2013. Certification in echocardiography from the Working Group on Echocardiography of the Polish Cardiac Society. Board Member of the Working Group of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Exercise Physiology of the Polish Cardiac Society and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). Member of the Polish Cardiac Society, the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI). Scientific interests: acute and chronic coronary syndromes, right ventricular function, primary and secondary mitral regurgitation, TEER, determinants of impaired exercise capacity. Hobbies: running, cycling. Language: Polish, English.
